Windsor Castle
Perched high above the River Thames, Windsor Castle has served as a royal residence for 900 years and was a favorite of Queen Elizabeth II, who now rests here.
St George's Chapel
During the tour, you will visit the 14th-century St George's Chapel, one of the finest medieval churches in England. It is here that, on September 19th, Queen Elizabeth II was laid to rest following a historic and unforgettable ceremony. Queen Elizabeth lies alongside her husband, Prince Philip, her parents, and other monarchs, including Henry VIII.
You will also tour the State Apartments, still in use for official events and royal receptions, now presided over by the new King, Charles III.
Note: The castle is closed to visitors on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. During the Christmas holidays, the castle will be closed from December 24 to 26; alternatively, a walking tour of Windsor will be offered on these days.
Stonehenge
Shrouded in mystery, the stone circle of Stonehenge is an extraordinary example of ancient engineering and the most important prehistoric site in England. In addition to being a place of great spiritual significance, early legends connect it to Merlin and King Arthur. Nevertheless, Stonehenge continues to attract pagan groups and followers of the Ancient Order of Druids.
Oxford
Follow in the footsteps of Oxford's most famous students, from C.S. Lewis to Bill Clinton, as you stroll through the charming courtyards of the colleges and the cobblestone streets of this historic university town. Step into the renowned "City of Dreaming Spires" and, during your visit, marvel at the Bodleian Library, one of the oldest libraries in Europe. You will be captivated by the pristine alleyways and ancient squares of this beautiful city.
